Privacy and Data Protection Commitment

Teachers may create accounts for themselves or on behalf of their students. Students and teachers may, at any time, update, correct, or delete the personal information in their Kodris accounts via the account settings page. The parent or legal guardian of a student under the age of 18 may review the student’s personal information and, if necessary, correct any inaccurate information by requesting access permission for the student account from the student’s teacher. This can be done from the student’s own account.

Teachers and users represent and warrant that they are authorized to act on behalf of the educational institution for which they work. In particular, when creating or updating an account or user, or performing any actions within the system, the educational institution shall be solely responsible for ensuring that the information is current, lawful, accurate, and complete; that it does not constitute any illegality; and that it does not result in any infringement of rights.

Educational institutions using the Kodris product accept, declare, and warrant—solely at their own responsibility—that they have provided the necessary disclosures to data subjects in a lawful and specifically provable manner under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 regarding the collection, processing, use, archiving, storage, and transfer of personal data of teachers, children, parents, children’s legal representatives or guardians, and users; that they have obtained written explicit consent where legally required; that they have fulfilled all legal procedures and notifications related to transfers; that they have implemented all administrative and technical measures for data security; and that, as the data controller, they have duly performed all obligations.
